Followers might figure by now that I’ve been practicing drawing faces (in this case, practicing drawing dudes in general too), and that I lurve Beowulf to death.
10 minute sketch. Wanted to art more, but couldn’t figure out what else to do without messing up what I already have!

WIP 2nd Ms. Fortune fanart attempt, pass 3.
Took care of some anatomy errors I noticed, and made an adjustment or two based on suggestions, or the ones I knew how to manage, anyways.
For the time being, I can’t really think of anything else to fix (except for maybe the belt), so the next passes may be the final lines and colors. If there’re errors I’ve missed, please point them out and offer suggestions on how to fix it!

For the folks who don’t already know, I voice Ms. Fortune in Skullgirls and always felt dorky about attempting to draw her, ‘cause I always felt like I wouldn’t do her justice at my current art-skill level. Watching someone’s stream of her story mode put me in an impulse fanart doodle mood though, ‘cause I think her story is probably the most pawsitive one of the lot. When I opened up Tumblr doodle requests on my Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/Hnilmik), someone requested Nylocke to be drawn. The day before, Chris and I spent some time talking about character design inspirations and ways to (possibly) improve or further exaggerate his character designs, since I’ve redrawn his characters before last year (http://hnilmik.tumblr.com/post/8587396828).
Whenever I saw Nylocke, I always found his design to be ehh. Not bad, but nothing extremely interesting either, since he looks like a heavy hitter, with his armor and big sword, but he looks “skinny”. He shows skin, so is he like a barbarian or a berserker? He speaks all fancy and has a big personality… My attempt at a redesign might not suit his voice, but I tried to exaggerate his size/armor because he essentially reminded me of Piros/Piros the 3rd from the .hack games.
